Why do I coach?
One of the things I enjoy most about coaching is the opportunity to share something that I love with others. Athletics has been a part of my life from a very young age, and to be given the opportunity to get someone else excited about their personal fitness is a great feeling. An even better feeling is to watch someone’s love, confidence and strength in a sport grow and know that you had a part in that growth.
What is my Primary Philosophy of Coaching?
“YES, you can” I believe anyone and everyone, regardless of their previous athletic background can become a strong, competitive athlete. So many times I have people tell me “I could never do what you do” and my response is “Oh yes you could!” I truly believe this! All a person needs is a strong individualized plan in place, some proper training and a little bit of rah, rah, rah. As your coach, it is my privilege to create a plan that meets your needs as an athlete, give you some accountability and offer lots of encouragement. Working together, no goal is too high!
Why are you different than other coaches?
I have been a teacher for 26 years. In that time I have learned how to communicate, motivate and enjoy working with MANY different personality types. I understand that everyone has different reasons for competing in their choice of sports. I am willing to LISTEN to what my athlete’s truly want and need, and will strive to help them accomplish whatever goal they set for themselves.
